Below the video are the normal recipe directions. It’s always recommended that you use cooking gloves when baking with fresh ingredients. You can find them near the cleaning supplies at your local Walmart or buy them on Amazon.

What you’ll need:

  • Flour (1 cup)
  • Baking Powder (2 teaspoons)
  • Sugar (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Italian Seasoning (or Oregano, 1/2 teaspoon)
  • Minced Onion (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Salt (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Garlic Powder (1/8 teaspoon)
  • Cottage Cheese (3/4 of a cup)
  • Butter (3 tablespoons of butter, melted)
  • Milk (1/3 cup)
  • Baking Sheet

Before starting, preheat your oven to 450 degrees.

In a large bowl add in:

STEP 1: The flour. 1 cup. I prefer to use organic flour – usually Arrowhead Mills. You can write to them through their contact form on their website if you want to get a couple free coupons. I did it once, and they sent me two $1 off coupons that were still good for several months.

STEP 2: Add two teaspoons of baking powder. Aluminum-free is best. Use a plastic spatula to stir it in.

STEP 3: Add in the 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.

STEP 4: Mix in the Italian seasoning. You can also use any other herbs that you love. It’s up to you. Some people prefer a mixture of herbs they have concocted, while you might want to try Rosemary or Oregano. If you are on a low-salt diet, you can combine step 4 and 5 by sustituting one of Mrs. Dash’s seasoning mixes.

STEPs 5-6: Add in the salt (you can omit if your diet requires) and garlic powder.

STEP 7: Add in the minced onion. Use a spatula to mix the ingredients completely.

STEP 8: Now it’s time to add in wet ingredients. The cottage cheese is the first ingredient to mix with the dry goods. Don’t overdo it; it should be a little clumpy.

STEP 9: Pour in the melted butter, and mix everything thoroughly until the dry and wet ingredients are blended completely.

STEP 10: Fold in the milk and mix thoroughly. The batter should be a little sticky.

STEP 11: Use parchment paper on your cookie sheet to make clean-up a snap. Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto the parchment, leaving about two inches between each biscuit. You should be able to make 12 biscuits with this amount of dough.

STEP 12: Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
