The first brunch of spring is something special, and this year, this year, you’re in luck. This recipe comes from dairy farming family Dave and Laurie Kyle, who shared it with the world a few Easters back.

The Kyles have been running the Kylecrest Holsteins Farm in Elkhorn, Wisconsin for 26 years and enjoy a stellar reputation in the agriculture community. Like many other dairy producers, they enjoy cooking hearty
brunches for their loved ones using high quality farm-fresh dairy foods their family is dedicated to producing.

Grandma Mack’s Breakfast Delight combines Easter brunch staples such as ham, eggs, hash browns and biscuits topped with a layer of savory Cheddar cheese.

If you like the recipe, you’ll probably like the Kyle families views on transparency within the food system, too. Not only do they believe in cooking natural, whole foods, they also believe in  educating consumers about their way of life and the conditions on their farms. (Even though, like many bloggers, Laurie and her family have been the targets of internet trolls.)
